Thanks to Hoosier Rudy for graphic.

I am not familiar with the old style Wing Force, but I was told the “new” design has a different “brake system” which has been adapted to this latest model. Upon looking on the inside of the yoyo halves, it shows a couple of “circular rings” which have been molded into both metal halves of the yoyo. I would assume these would be called “performance rings”. The rings themselves, however, are “recessed” in the metal. The performance rings I am familiar with are the type that are adhered to the yoyo halves with a “sticky” substance on the back of the rings themselves, and will be a little higher when put on the yoyo halves, instead of “recessed” as the new designed Wing Force has. The Wing Force is a heavy yoyo! Much heavier than it looks. The “wings” of the yoyo catch the string quickly and even a “rookie” like myself should not have much of a problem landing it on the string. I found that on a sleeper, you have to tug rather hard several times to get it to respond and come back to your hand. Another thing I found was it has a tendency to “die” rather quickly on the string. The bearing that is used in the Wing Force appears to be the same as the one used in the RB2, as I laid them side by side…and could not visually see any difference whatsoever. If I’m not mistaken, the price on this yoyo at one time was around $40 but it’s around $17 now. If you’re a Yomega fan…than I think you will like this newer designed Wing Force.

I have one of the Original Wingforces (no pads). It’s not the worst yoyo I have, but it’s not my favorite. It does fair on string tricks and looping, I did lube it with some brain lube… which helped a little. The design is good, not too wide but allows for easy catching. I only gave 5 bucks for mine in a deal a while back… so it was worth that. It’s certainly something different. Try one… you might like it.

This is my first yomega yoyo. Its a good yoyo! It sleeps forever with or without lube. It’s awesome to hold. I will cherish this one. It sucks at looping, is good at string tricks and is very stylish. The fact that it is aluminum kinda bothers me though. Ive got like 12 dents and chips on it even though i tried to take good care of it. And it only comes in black! When it came out of the cool-looking case i thought “wow they sure put a lot of effort into this one”. It’s been 3 weeks and my right hand is so bruised it hurts to move. They yoyo is a lot heavier than it looks. I recommend this yoyo to people who have gloves and like long sleep times.

The Wingforce is a pretty good yo yo. It sleeps quite well for an aluminium yo yo. Although there are downfalls to it. The one that affects me the most is the fact that it doesn’t respond well (if you double loop it it will respond better), and it dies quicker on string tricks. I also dislike the fact it’s painted, so it dents and chips if you hit it on something hard. There are ups to the yo yo. It is easy to trapeze, and its shape fits in your hand very well. I could perform the same tricks that I can with other yos about the same with the Wingforce but with some extra practice.

This yoyo is worth the $12.00 you will spend. It is fairly good for loops. I can only sleep this for about 45 sec. it slows down a little on the string. It is still possible to pull of multiple string tricks. This was my first yoyos and probably one of my favorites. I recommend buying this yoyo.

Most people say it doesn’t respond very well, but after I lubed it with Brain Lube I saw a huge difference. Maybe some people aren’t using the right lube. I think it’s a pretty good yo-yo, but it might take some getting used to.

I just received a Yomega Wing Force in the mail today. I got it from www.theentireunivers.com on sale for $7.49! I love the slim-line butterfly shape and the weight feels decent too. It felt a little loose on the response, and was lacking the “snap” when called back to the hand. It was also hard to obtain huge RPM on a hard throw. My impression was that it was kinda like the string wasn’t getting any traction and just slipping on the smooth painted surfaces. To fix this, I installed one turbo disk (or you can make a small disk around the bearing using 3M Durapore medical tape) and a Spintastics Slick Six string (I do this to all of my yoyos). This greatly improved the speed of sleepers and vastly improved response. I can do any trick with this yoyo as with any other yoyo in my collection. For the price you can’t go wrong. It is like the aluminium version of the Variflex X-Games and almost as cheap too! Try one, you won’t be disappointed.
